These are the rules that keep Personal Singles Dating a safe, respectful disabled dating site. We've written them in plain English so anyone - disabled, chronically ill, or supporting a partner - can read them once and understand them.

Terms of Use
By creating an account, browsing the community, or sending a message, you agree to these Terms of Use. They form a legal agreement between you and Personal Singles Dating ("we," "us," or "the platform"). If you don't agree with any part, please don't use the site. We update these terms from time to time and will tell you about any major change at least 30 days before it takes effect.
What Personal Singles Dating is
We're a community-focused dating site for disabled and chronically ill adults and the people who want to meet them. We're one of several dating sites for people with disabilities, but our focus is on slow, story-led connection rather than swipe mechanics. We do not promise that you will find a partner. We do promise to keep the space safe, accessible, and free of devotees.
Eligibility and Account Creation
To use Personal Singles Dating, you must be at least 18 years old. We do not allow minors on the platform under any circumstances, even with parental consent. By signing up, you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- The information you give us - your name, age, location, photos, disability disclosures - is accurate and your own.
- You have the legal right to enter into this agreement in the place where you live.
- You are not on a registered sex offender list and have not been convicted of a violent or sexual felony.
- You will keep your password confidential and not share your account.
One person, one account. If we find that you've created a second profile to evade a removal or to harass another member, we will close all accounts linked to you.
How We Expect Members to Behave
Personal Singles Dating works because members hold each other to a high standard of respect. By using the platform, you agree that you will not:
- Treat any disability - physical, sensory, cognitive, or mental health - as a fetish, kink, or sexual category.
- Send unsolicited explicit messages, photos, or video of any kind.
- Use ableist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise hateful language.
- Pressure another member to disclose details about their disability, diagnosis, treatment, or medication.
- Ask members for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial help. This is a romance-scam tactic and is never allowed.
- Impersonate someone else, use someone else's photos, or misrepresent your age or identity.
- Try to move sensitive conversations off-platform before trust is established.
- Scrape, copy, or republish member profiles, photos, or messages.
If a member's behavior makes you feel unsafe, use the in-app block and report buttons. Our moderation team reviews every report and follows the steps outlined in our Safety and Privacy page.
Anti-Fetishization Clause
No devotees. No fetishizers. No exceptions.
Personal Singles Dating treats fetishization of disability - sometimes called "devoteeism" - as a violation of member dignity. Profiles, messages, or photo choices that frame amputation, mobility aids, paralysis, or any disability as a sexual category are removed without warning, and the account is permanently closed. This applies whether the language is explicit or coded. Disabled people are people. They are not a niche, a kink, or a search filter. If you joined hoping otherwise, this is not the site for you.
This clause exists because 40% of disabled dating-app users have been targeted by predatory contact at some point (FTC, 2023). We take it seriously, and we use a combination of automated screening, member reports, and human review to enforce it.
When We May Suspend or Close an Account
We can suspend or permanently close any account that breaks these terms. Most often, that means:
- Sending fetishizing or sexually coercive messages.
- Romance-scam behavior, including any request for money or financial favors.
- Hate speech or harassment, including ableist comments toward another member.
- Creating fake or duplicate profiles.
- Repeatedly ignoring a member's clear "no" or pressuring them to share details they're not ready to share.
Where it's safe to do so, we tell you why your account was closed and give you a chance to respond. In the most serious cases - for example, criminal threats - we close the account immediately and may report to law enforcement, the FTC, or the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

Limitation of Liability
Personal Singles Dating is a tool that helps people meet. We are not responsible for what individual members say, do, or promise. We work hard to verify profiles and moderate behavior, but no online platform can guarantee perfect safety. If you choose to meet a member offline, please review our safety guidance and bring a friend, share your location, and trust your instincts.
Privacy Policy
Privacy is the foundation of trust on a disabled dating site. Members share sensitive things here: diagnoses, mental health histories, photos, location, and the kind of love they're looking for. We treat that information the way we'd want our own treated - carefully, minimally, and never as a product to sell.
What Data We Collect and Why
We collect three kinds of information: what you give us, what your device sends us, and what you create as you use the service. Here's the full list, plain and simple.

We do not collect data we don't need. We don't track you across the wider web. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. Sensitive disability information is encrypted at rest and in transit, and access is limited to a small moderation team that has signed confidentiality agreements.
We Never Sell Your Data
"We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to other dating sites. Not ever."

How We Use Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores so a website can remember things between visits. We use as few as possible.
- Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember your light or dark theme. You cannot turn these off without breaking the site.
- Functional cookies remember your language, font-size, and reduced-motion preference for accessibility.
- Aggregate analytics cookies count how many people visit each page so we know what to improve. These are anonymized - we cannot tell who you are from them.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social-media trackers. Your cookie preferences are saved in your browser and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.
Your Rights Under GDPR and CCPA

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know exactly what personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any privacy right. EU and UK residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority if they believe we've handled their information unlawfully.
How to Delete Your Data
Closing your account is a three-step process. There is no waiting period and no cancellation fee.

Open the privacy center
Sign in, open Settings, and choose the Privacy and Data tab. The deletion options are at the top of the page.

Choose download then delete
Optionally download a copy of your data first. Then click "Delete my account" and confirm with your password.

We finish the rest within 30 days
Your profile is hidden immediately. All personal data, photos, and messages are permanently erased within 30 days. Anonymized statistics may remain in aggregate logs.
If you can't access your account - for example, if you've lost your password and your recovery email - write to us at [email protected] from the email address on the account and we'll handle the deletion manually.
